Establish a Scholarship

The Elkhorn Area High School Scholarship Foundation needs your support to continue its mission to assist students in achieving their career goals. Your gift is an investment in the future of our youth and community. Regardless of the amount.

When establishing a scholarship you'll want to consider the following:

1. Name of Scholarship
2. Is this a one-time scholarship, or perpetual award?
3. Do you have a set dollar amount you want to use for this award, or do you want to only use the interest earnings from your gift to fund the scholarship?
   
4. What are the application criteria?
5. What is the scholarship selection process? Will you be deciding the recipient, or would you like the Foundation's Scholarship Selection Committee to choose?
6. Will you be presenting the award at Honor's Night?
7. Do you have a story you can share about why this scholarship was created?

Scholarship Requirements

The criteria for selection as a recipient of a scholarship shall include: grade point average, involvement in extracurricular and community activities, character, and need.

There are no limitations or restrictions on the individuals who are eligible recipients for the scholarships. Further, there are no limitations or restrictions in the selection process based upon race, employment status of the recipient, or any relation of the recipient. The recipient may be required to submit semester grad transcripts to ensure good standing and continued attendance at the institution. Scholarships are presented each year during the Honors Night Ceremony to graduating seniors and former graduates of Elkhorn Area School District.
